Iceland is no longer the team that finished Euro 2016 in the last eight and also qualified for the 2018 World Cup, becoming the smallest nation to qualify for the WC. In recent years, they have not been good at all, and they also started this EURO 2024 Qualifiers badly, with three points in three matches. Those three points against one of the worst teams in Europe Liechtenstein.
Portugal is one of the best teams in Europe and the World. They had an excellent World Cup, where they lost to Marocco in the quarter-finals, but objectively, they deserved to win and finish in the top four. So far, they have won three of these three EURO Qualifiers with a goal difference of 13:0. They are by far the best team in the group and should dominate most of the game.
Iceland lost three of last four matches and conceded at least two goals in all three defeats against a much weaker side than Portugal. It's clear they have struggled defensively, and wouldn't be surprised if they allowed three or more goals in this game.
On the other hand, their attack has not been too shabby and has scored at least one goal in seven of their previous eight home games.
