According to a report by *Globo Esporte*, former Manchester United midfielder Anderson has been jailed for 30 days due to owing over 300,000 Brazilian Reais in child support.

The report claims that the 36-year-old Anderson failed to pay 333,600 Brazilian Reais in child support for his two children. Last Thursday, the civil court in Porto Alegre sentenced him to 30 days in jail. However, if Anderson manages to pay the owed amount, the arrest warrant will be withdrawn.

During his playing career, Anderson played for Grêmio, Porto, Manchester United, Fiorentina, Internacional, Coritiba, and Adana Demirspor. He also made 8 appearances for the Brazilian national team.
